Roanoke Valley Paralegal Association is a participating organization in this year’s Legal Food Frenzy! This year’s competition runs from April 17-28, 2023.
Legal Food Frenzy is an annual fundraising competition created in partnership with the Virginia Attorney General, the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Virginia Bar Association, and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks.
The LFF is open to EVERYONE across the Virginia legal community. Now – more than ever – each law firm, law school, legal organization, and corporate/in-house counsel can have the biggest impact on hunger. This year, for the first time EVER in the history of Legal Food Frenzy in Southwest Virginia, Legal Food Frenzy funds are being allocated directly to our Children’s Feeding Programs as we prepare for Kids Summer Feeding. Many of you may have heard that additional SNAP (food stamp) benefits that families were receiving as part of COVID relief were effectively cut off last month. Feeding Southwest Virginia Foodbank is therefore anticipating a surge in demand for summer feeding resources this year, and we are doing all that we can to secure funding in advance of any increase in need.
